WVW ACADEMY · WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Building the next generation of healing-centered wellness professionals — led by someone who's actually done the work.

WVW Academy offers community health worker certification and organizational wellness training for adults ready to do serious work in serious communities. Rooted in Washington DC and Maryland, with programs serving learners nationwide.

Led by Tiána, a New Yorker with direct experience in operations, HR, and Activity Director roles inside nonprofits and behavioral health organizations. Every program at WVW Academy is shaped by real frontline knowledge — not just theory.

THE ACADEMY

Not a continuing education program. A professional development infrastructure.

WVW Academy is the education and workforce development arm of Wholistic Vibes Wellness. We train practitioners who will work at the intersection of community health, organizational wellness, neuroinclusion, and social systems — people who understand that individual wellbeing is inseparable from the conditions in which people live and work.

Our programs are rigorous, culturally grounded, and built around real-world application. We don't teach theory disconnected from practice. We train practitioners who can use validated frameworks, conduct assessments, facilitate difficult conversations, and build the infrastructure that communities and organizations need.

Location Washington DC / Maryland / Hybrid (In-Person + Virtual)

The WVW Academy CHW Certification Program prepares adults to work as community health workers in behavioral health, primary care, social service, and community-based organization settings. The curriculum is grounded in healing-centered practice, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and systems navigation — and is designed for adults who are themselves from the communities they will serve.

  • Foundations of community health work and social determinants of health
  • Trauma-informed and healing-centered practice models
  • Behavioral health navigation and de-escalation
  • Motivational interviewing fundamentals
  • Systems navigation: healthcare, housing, social services
  • Documentation, data, and organizational accountability
  • Neuroinclusion and cognitive diversity in community health settings
  • Self-care, secondary trauma, and sustainable practice

Adults with lived experience in the communities they'll serve. People working in or transitioning into behavioral health, community health, social services, or nonprofit settings. Professionals seeking to formalize and credential their practice.

Professional Credentials

WVW Academy Credential Tracks

Cohort Forming — Join the Waitlist

WVW Academy offers four professional credential tracks for practitioners working at the intersection of organizational wellness, community health, and systems change. Each credential is stackable — practitioners can move through tracks as their expertise deepens.

  • WAA — Wellness Audit Analyst: Foundational credential for practitioners who conduct organizational health assessments. Covers validated diagnostic instruments, data analysis, and findings interpretation.
  • WCA — Wellness Consultant Associate: For consultants developing the full advisory practice — assessment, recommendations, and implementation support. Entry-level practitioner credential.
  • WCS — Wellness Consultant Specialist: Advanced credential for experienced consultants. Covers complex systems redesign, neuroinclusion architecture, and multi-stakeholder engagement at the organizational level.
  • WEP — Wellness Education Practitioner: For practitioners focused on training delivery and workforce development. Covers curriculum design, facilitation, adult learning, and cohort program management.

All credential tracks are cohort-based with limited seats. Cohorts include live instruction, peer practice, case work, and a practicum component. Stackable by design — WAA is the recommended starting credential for most practitioners.

For Organizations

Send your staff. Invest in your infrastructure.

WVW Academy programs aren't just for individual practitioners. Organizations can enroll staff as part of a workforce development benefit — building internal capacity that outlasts any single consulting engagement.

Build Internal Expertise

Credential your HR staff, people operations teams, and supervisors in organizational wellness diagnostics so assessment becomes a standing organizational capacity — not a consulting dependency.

Staff Benefit / Retention Tool

Professional development benefits that actually mean something. WVW Academy credentials are stackable, nationally recognized in the organizational wellness field, and valued by practitioners at every level.

Custom Cohorts

Organizations can sponsor a private cohort for their team — custom scheduling, content aligned to your organizational context, and WVW Academy facilitation. Minimum group size applies.

Paired with WVW Consulting

Organizations already engaged with WVW for consulting can bundle Academy training as part of their engagement — diagnostic findings inform the curriculum, and training reinforces the structural changes underway.

WHY WVW ACADEMY

What makes the Academy different.

Culturally Grounded

Our curriculum centers the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and communities of color — not as a special module, but as the foundational lens through which we understand health, wellness, and organizational systems.

Evidence-Based

WVW Academy curriculum draws on validated frameworks: trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, Edmondson's psychological safety research, neuroinclusion principles, and behavioral health best practices recognized by SAMHSA and APA.

Practice-Ready

We don't teach theory without application. Every competency is paired with real-world scenarios, case studies, and skill-building exercises designed to prepare practitioners for the complexity of actual work.

Community-Rooted, Nationally Relevant

WVW Academy was built in Washington DC and Maryland, and our training reflects real community contexts — not generic national curricula. We're expanding programming to serve learners across the country while keeping the work grounded, specific, and healing-centered.
